Dr. Hillary Langley
I am a clinical psychologist, certified perinatal mental health professional, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping individuals on their journey to parenthood. I provide individual virtual therapy to adults residing in Georgia, Kentucky, and all 40+ PSYPACT participating states.
How I Work:
I believe that trust in the therapy relationship is imperative. For me, trust comes from transparency and the creation of a space that is free from judgement. I believe in building a space where my clients feel safe to be vulnerable. I am not a “worksheet therapist” and won’t sit in our sessions, nodding my head, and never speaking. We will work collaboratively to increase joy and connection in your life.

Prior to starting my private practice, I completed practicum placements at a sexual abuse treatment center, college counseling centers, and group private practice specializing in the treatment of complex trauma, interpersonal violence, and sexual abuse. In this work, I noticed a gap in the provision of treatment for individuals who have experienced sexual assault and childhood trauma who are now on their own journey to becoming a parent.

During our first session, we will work together to determine what treatment approaches will be the best fit for you and our work together. While we will always allow the space for this to change if needed, having a treatment plan is imperitive. I usually integrate a combination of evidence based treatment modalities to best fit clients unique presentations, including:
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Ego-State Approaches (parts work)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindful Self-Compassion
Time Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP)
Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
